This is a video of a prototype mini-ROV (remotely operated vehicle) exploring under lake ice. It was built in 2004 and was designed to be small enough to be launched through a hole in the ice. The ROV ran off a 12 Volt battery and used modified bilge pumps as thrusters. The ROV used two Robot Power Scorpion motor controllers to control the thrusters.
