The large diameter rubber hose has worked really well as the hitch mechanism.

The only change that was made to the trailer since it was first built was to switch the towing pipe from a 1/2 inch round aluminum metal tube to a stiffer 1 inch aluminum box tube. This has made the trailer tow a lot better behind my bike.

Hi Andrew,

This is a nice looking trailer, good job! I'm considering making a similar trailer to bike supplies to a property that's about 500 feet down an ATV trail/crazy hill. How do you find your rubber hose hitch works? Going down hill, does the trailer ever want to get ahead of you or do anything funny?

Cool! I've done this (admittedly a long time ago).
Having your fingers freeze up mid-flight is not so great mind!

I looked into buying the book, but on amazon.co.uk it is £84.54.
I guess I'll have to save my pennies for that one...
