New Clearview RC model – Avatar Scorpion Gunship

Monday, March 8th, 2010

I recently finished a new model for the Clearview RC Flight Simulator. It is a low polygon model of the Scorpion Gunship aircraft from the movie Avatar. Most of the modeling was done in Maya. Then I loaded the model into AC3D to prepare it for the Clearview Simulator.

The model is available for free. You can download it here. I hope you enjoy it.

Tricopter RC Flight Simulator Model

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

I have created a free Clearview RC flight simulator model of the Tricopter model aircraft based upon the build thread at RC Groups: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1142429

The Tricopter model can be downloaded from the Clearview RC Model’s Page.  Look at the bottom of the page under Andrew Hazelden Models:    http://rcflightsim.com/models.html

The Tricopter model Requires ClearView ver. 5.14 or higher for proper control.

This the first version of the model.

A Flight Simulator Model of the Tricopter. from Andrew Hazelden on Vimeo.

This is my first flight simulator model. It was created with Maya and AC3D. The three Tricopter motors are controlled with simulated motor mixing and 3 gyros. The yaw axis motor mount tipping is also simulated and has a yaw gyro attached.
