Step 5. Review the MPLAB PDF documents
The MPLAB IDE and the MPLAB C Compilers have a combination of PDF help documents and HTML help files.
If you open your Start menu you can load the MPLAB help browser from the menu item:
Microchip > MPLAB IDE V8.83 > Documentation

You can use the MPLAB IDE document browser to find help for the MPLAB IDE, ICD2 programmer, and accessories.
Step 6. Start the MPLAB IDE
Now you are ready to launch the MPLAB IDE.
If you open your Start menu you can load the MPLAB IDE from the menu item:
Microchip > MPLAB IDE V8.83 > MPLAB IDE
MPLAB comes with a few source code examples you can explore to learn about programming microcontrollers.
You can browse the following MPLAB C language example folders:
