Mac OS X Based GRADS GUI – McGraG
I just discovered the Mac GUI for GrADS (Grid Analysis and Display System) called McGraG v1.1.0 Beta.
It was easy to install and start up. It is able to run grads scripts and also has a command line text field for entering individual grads instructions.
This should make viewing GRIB weather data a lot more accessible to mac users.

You might find a feature of using GrADS with Athena Widgets called GAGUI just what you are looking for. There are existing scripts for GrADS that can define a user interface that will speed up your use of the software.
